Young Investigators, National Taiwan University

Thang Truong Le is a bioinformatician at National Taiwan University (NTU). He received his Master’s degree in Smart Medicine and Health Informatics and is currently a PhD student in the Genome and Systems Biology program at NTU. His research centers on multi-platform spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, with a particular focus on ovarian cancer.

Under the mentorship of Prof. Ruby Huang, he has developed strong expertise in integrative spatial multi-omics analysis. As first author, he has published in high-impact journals, including Nature Communications. His research identified and validated an inverse association between epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) in ovarian clear cell carcinoma, uncovering spatial metabolic heterogeneity that influences tumor behavior and patient stratification.
